Brad Hughes是威斯康星大学麦迪逊分校英语系资深教授，长期任该校写作中心主任。公开发表论文100多篇，担任多家期刊审稿人，曾受邀到中国、韩国、德国、波兰、智利及美国国内高校开展写作研讨会和工作坊，多次在国际学术会议上作主旨报告。由于在跨学科写作领域的突出贡献，他荣获众多奖项，包括国际写作中心协会（IWCA）颁发的行业最高奖项——穆里尔•哈里斯奖。

讲座内容：

Over the past 50 years, writing centers have become powerful components of writing instruction at most universities across the U.S. and Canada. In this lecture, Brad will introduce different kinds of instructional programs that cross-curricular writing centers offer in North America and explain the theoretical bases for writing center instruction. In the later part of the lecture, he will introduce Writing Across the Curriculum programs, which work with faculty in disciplines across the university.
